Note: These are random links provided as an example of categories of the link strategies described below. The links shown should be deleted and replaced with your own links. Delete this red text before turning on page and/or activating your site.
1) Local Contractors We Recommend - If you frequently refer customers to contractors to provide related services, and those contractors have web sites, you should link them from this page. You will be able to send customers to your site for referrals, and should be able to get the a return link to your site from each contractor.
2) Organizations to Which We Belong - The links you provide here should tell your customers about the organizations you are involved with in your community, for training and for accountability. They tell your customer important things about your company. If you are listed at the organization's site as being a member, you should be able to request they provide a link to your site in your listing.
3) Special Problems We Can Solve - The links provided here go to pages in your site. Listing them here cannot earn you a reciprocal link, but it may make customers aware of products or services they may have overlooked.
4) Great Local Sites - You don't need to ask permission to link to another web site, and doing so is a good way to get your foot in the door to approach local businesses to link to your site from their own (particularly if you see they provide links at their site). If you can identify popular sites that share your local audience, successful pursuit of this strategy will help build traffic in addition to registering another link to your site. The sites needn't be industry-related.
